What is a free tarot spread?

A free tarot spread is a reading with no preset layout: you put your question into your own words, and the cards answer it as it stands. That can be a single card for a quick answer, three cards showing sides of a situation, or your own layout with your own deck.

Open questions work best: “What should I understand about…”, “How do I approach…”, “What would help me decide on…”. Questions about what someone else is thinking and rigid yes-or-no questions work less well, because the cards speak to your situation and your next steps, not to another person’s mind.

Oracul draws cards from the Rider–Waite–Smith deck at random before it writes any interpretation, then reads them in the context of your question. It’s a tool for reflection, not a ready-made decision.

What’s the difference between a one-card reading and a three-card spread?

One card gives a short answer and a piece of advice. Three cards show the situation more broadly: where it came from, what’s happening and where it’s heading.

How many times can I ask?

As many as you like, but it’s better not to repeat the same question back to back. Sit with the answer first, then ask the Oracle for details.

Is the tarot draw really random?

Yes. The cards are drawn at random before the interpretation is written, and a revealed spread can’t be redrawn.

Can I read with my own tarot deck?
